Critical Thinking
Learn how to analyse arguments, recognise problems using reasoning and logic, evaluate evidence which is used to support an arguement.
The word 'critical' itself has various meanings in different situations. For example, it can mean that something is important ie. "That is critical information" or it can mean a negative aspect of something, ie to criticise something.
At ScholarKid our critical thinking course doesn't just teach you how to look at something critically or criticising ideas. We teach you that you should not always accept what you read or hear at face value. We teach you to always question information, ideas and arguments.
To think critically is a key skill that should be used in every aspect of your learning journey. As a ScholarKid student you need to think critically about the resources and information you are using to learn. You should be asking the right questions when reading the work of others, even if they are experts in their field. Whenever you are writing you should show that you can weigh up different arguments and different perspectives and use any evidence to form your own theories and opinions. Critical thinking is fundamentally questioning and learning with an open mind.
